Rebuilds / Respray

At MB Motorsport we understand the type of vehicles we are dealing with and can repair and replace any damage due to the elements or accident. Chassis sections can be replaced where safe to do so and bodywork can be repaired to better than new standards.

The above vehicle was a accident damaged TVR Cerbera which has had a entire front end, the new section was grafted expertly into place then the body prepared and repainted. The repair is so good that the car looks like it was never damaged.

It is a common misconception that fibreglass cars are easier to repair than metal mass produced cars. Fibreglass has to be repaired by a specialist due to the expansion and contraction of the material, often repairs done by standard bodyshops have to be reworked.

Corrosion

Due to the nature of low volume sports cars being adapted race cars the corrosion protection is sometimes not as good a mass produced vehicle hence long term use can lead to problems.

Presently We are repairing a Marcos Mantis chassis which has suffered from long term use in the British weather. This car will have the relavent chassis sections replaced and the body resprayed so it is as new.

Above is a front section of a chassis which was stripped repaired then repainted and stone chip protected, this will provide many more years of enjoyment of the car without worry of rust returning.

Wiring

Wiring of these vehicles can also suffer due to age and being built by hand, often bad wiring is the cause of many mysterious traits of the car. This service can be catered for from a simple fault to a full rewire.
